Mission Statement:
Located within the Fort Smith Bakery District, the District Art Galleries by UAFS are alternative exhibition spaces that showcase local and regional artists—both emerging and established—whose work demonstrates contemporary trends in the visual arts. The galleries are a partnership between the Bakery District and the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Gallery of Art and Design, providing a vital forum for community engagement with the arts as well as a training ground for UAFS students in gallery and art handling practice.
